Committed to Service, Pelindo Regional 4 Balikpapan Posts Positive Performance in 2024
BALIKPAPAN, 21 January 2025 PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 Balikpapan throughout 2024 managed to record positive performance on a consolidated basis marked by a significant increase in four business lines, reflecting Pelindo's commitment to providing optimal services in the port sector.
General Manager of Pelindo Regional 4 Balikpapan, Suhadi Hamid said that last year his party recorded a growth in ship flow of 96,895,366 Gross Tonnage (GT), an increase of 8.5% compared to the previous year.
He also mentioned that in addition to ship flows, three other business lines namely container flows, goods flows, and passenger flows also experienced quite positive growth in 2024.
‘As of December 2024, we recorded a 249% increase in container flow or 1,693 TEUs. While the flow of goods increased by 34.2% or to 47,848,621 Ton/M3. Then the passenger flow was 684,594 people, an increase of around 8.6%,’ explained Suhadi.
According to him, the positive performance growth achieved by Pelindo Regional 4 Balikpapan is the result of the hard work of the entire team and is inseparable from the innovation and collaboration that continues to be developed, as well as a form of Pelindo's support for the development of the Archipelago Capital or IKN.
