Jakarta, 19 November 2024 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo continues to strengthen its commitment in implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) through collaboration with the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration (Jamdatun) of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia.
The signing of the cooperation agreement was carried out by Pelindo President Director Arif Suhartono accompanied by Pelindo Deputy President Director Hambra with Jamdatun Dr. R. Narendra Jatna, S.H., LL.M. accompanied by Jamdatun Secretary Edy Birton and witnessed by Pelindo President Commissioner Agus Suhartono and Pelindo Board of Commissioners Sudung Situmorang on 18 November 2024 at Sheraton Grand Hotel Jakarta.
‘We are committed to always running every aspect of business with high integrity, guided by the provisions and good corporate governance,’ Arif said in his speech.
On this occasion, Arif also expressed his appreciation for the support and assistance from Jamdatun and the ranks of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia that have been carried out so far regarding matters that need to be improved in the processes carried out since the preparation of the merger, the implementation of the merger to the post-merger to ensure that the entire process can run well in accordance with the provisions.
Meanwhile, Narendra in his speech expressed his gratitude for the trust that has been given so far to Jamdatun. ‘Hopefully the cooperation, synergy that exists so far can continue into the future,’ said Narendra.
This collaboration is carried out to strengthen corporate governance, through the provision of legal assistance, considerations and other legal actions from Jamdatun. Thus, all actions and/or corporate actions of Pelindo can run in accordance with applicable regulations, especially in handling legal issues in the field of civil and state administration.
On the same occasion, Narendra was also a resource person at the Sharing Session related to Business Judgement Rule and Personal Data Protection, which was attended by Commissioners and Directors of Pelindo, Subholding Directors, Directors of Subsidiaries / Affiliates, Group Heads, and Executive Directors within the Pelindo Group. Narendra discussed legal compliance, risk mitigation for legal issues, and the importance of maintaining data security as a legal obligation to maintain the trust of service users.
