Minimizing the Impact of Work Accidents, Pelindo Regional 4 Holds In House Training of First Aid Officers

MAKASSAR, June 10, 2024 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 held an In House Training for First Aid Officers (P3K) “Certification of the Ministry of Manpower & Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia” Batch 1 (first) in the AKHLAK Meeting Room 7th Floor Pelindo Regional 4 Office in Makassar, Monday (June 10, 2024).

Executive Director of Pelindo Regional 4, Abdul Azis in his remarks said that this activity is one of the efforts to provide protection for workers who experience accidents in the workplace.

“So it is necessary to do first aid quickly and precisely, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower & Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia No. PER15 / MEN / VIII / 2008 concerning First Aid in Accidents (P3K) in the workplace,” said Abdul Azis.

The purpose of the four-day training (Monday to Thursday, June 10-13, 2024) is to provide knowledge and understanding of the implementation of first aid in the workplace.

"It is expected that all participants who are first aid officers will be able to improve their skills in providing first aid for sudden illnesses and work accidents.

“With this first aid training, we hope that all participants can know basic knowledge about first aid in accidents, in the form of initial handling of victims before being treated by medical personnel so as to minimize the severity experienced by victims.”

This year's first aid training activities will be carried out in 2 batches, considering the large number of participants from Pelindo Group in the Regional 4 region, namely 31 people from subholding and subsidiaries in the Regional 4 working area.

The large number of participants indicates that currently the Pelindo Group Management is very concerned about the K3 aspect in the workplace, starting from the preventive aspect (safety campaign) to curative and rehabilitation actions for victims of work accidents and Occupational Diseases.

“I really hope that all first aid training participants will focus on training for the next 4 days, so that later not only a piece of certification paper is obtained but the most important thing is knowledge in providing first aid in accidents for victims,” said Executive Director 4 Pelindo Regional 4, Abdul Azis.
