Stranas PK appreciates Pelindo's corruption prevention action

Jakarta, December 14, 2023 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) / Pelindo received an award from the National Strategy for Corruption Eradication (Stranas PK) as a BUMN that is committed and contributes significantly to the implementation of corruption eradication actions. This award was given at the commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) which carries the theme "Synergy to Eradicate Corruption, for Advanced Indonesia" on December 12-13, 2023 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.   

The close collaboration of the National Strategy for Corruption Eradication (Stranas PK) and Pelindo confirms Pelindo's commitment in making digitalization an effective tool to prevent acts of corruption in the port environment.  

"In Hakordia in 2023, specifically Pelindo with its Digitalization program, we see that it has produced results. In simple terms, port digitization has a positive impact on the loading and unloading process which is currently faster and more cost efficient," said Pahala Nainggolan, KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring. 

This is in line with what was conveyed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, during the Opening of the event who explained that Corruption is an extraordinary crime that hampers development, damages the nation's economy, and torments the people. In an increasingly sophisticated and complex corruption eradication effort, synergies from various parties are needed that are more systemic and more massive joint efforts by utilizing the latest technology.
