SIMULTANEOUS FLAG OFF CEREMONY IN FOUR CITIES, PELINDO RUN AND RIDE 2023 OFFICIALLY BEGINS

JAKARTA, 09 September 2023 - Pelindo held the Pelindo Run and Ride Flag Off Ceremony simultaneously in 4 (four) major cities in Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan and Makassar on Saturday, 09 September 2023. The Pelindo Run and Ride flag off ceremony was centered at the GBK West Plaza area, Central Jakarta. 

The event, which was opened by Pelindo President Director Arif Suhartono, marked the start of the annual virtual running competition 'Pelindo Run and Ride' as a series of activities to welcome the 2nd anniversary of the Pelindo merger.  Pelindo recorded at least 26,721 people registered as participants in the Pelindo Run and Ride 2023, an increase of 28.5% compared to 2022.

Pelindo, which is part of a large family of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), is the result of a merger of 4 (four) BUMN Port Services in Indonesia which was ratified on October 01, 2021.

"After this merger, Pelindo continues to be committed to improving connectivity and standardization of port services to support lower logistics costs and improve integrated logistics services that can increase sectoral contributions to the Indonesian economy. We hope that Pelindo's presence is not only felt by the maritime and logistics sectors, but also by the Indonesian people as a whole. This running and cycling competition is one of Pelindo's efforts to participate in shaping a healthy lifestyle.
