PELINDO MULTI TERMINAL GROWS WITH POSITIVE PERFORMANCE IN THE FIRST SEMESTER OF 2023

Medan, August 24, 2023 - In the First Semester of 2023 PT Pelindo Multi Terminal / SPMT as a BUMN Subholding of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) which manages the non-packaging terminal segment in Indonesia recorded positive growth in the company's operational performance. Until June 2023, it was recorded that the loading and unloading flow of liquid bulk commodities reached 13.5 million tons, an increase of 38% compared to the same period in 2022. Dry bulk commodities also experienced a 13% increase compared to the same period the previous year, with dry bulk unloading figures reaching 25.5 million tons.

Meanwhile, the loading and unloading flow of general cargo was recorded at 7.7 million tons, an increase of 29% compared to the same period in 2022. Likewise, through gas commodities realized at 6.1 million MMBTu (Metric Million British Thermal Units), growing 17% compared to the previous year. 

Not only that, the flow of container loading and unloading served by SPMT throughout 2023 was recorded at 219,422 TEUs or grew by 22% compared to 2022. On the other hand, the flow of vehicles served by PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk. reached 736,876 Units, an increase of 36% compared to the previous year.
