Pelindo and Aptrindo Apply STID to Increase Efficiency and Security

Jakarta, July 14, 2023 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Indonesian Truck Entrepreneurs Association (Aptrindo) for the implementation and implementation of the Single Truck Identification Data system in the Pelindo work area .

The process of signing this cooperation was carried out by the Managing Director of Pelindo, Putut Sri Muljanto, and the Chairperson of Aptrindo, Gemilang Tarigan, at Room Bandar Jaya B, Pelindo Head Office, Tuesday (12/7).

The signing of this PKS aims to provide convenience in identifying and monitoring the activities of transport trucks operating through the application of the Single Truck Identification Data (STID) card and to increase the productivity of port services in all Indonesian ports.

"For the support from Aptrindo so far we thank you. The identity and condition of the trucks that enter the terminal in the Pelindo work area are in one database that can be used by all parties, whether from the service users themselves, Aptrindo, the Port Authority and also from the Regional Government. "All parties benefit from the implementation of this STID," Putut said.

The implementation of the STID system was first implemented at Pelindo Regional 2 Tanjung Priok, then implemented at 13 other port branches. In 2023, the application of STID will be expanded again in 13 port branches.

STID becomes the single identity for each truck, with an electronic-based system connected to the port management IT system. STID contains a database covering the technical feasibility of the truck and its driver, including data on police numbers and the owner/company of transportation. Previously, cargo trucks at ports were not uniform because each terminal manager issued their own TID, so they could not be used at different terminals.
