Notification of the New Priok Eastern Access (NPEA) Development Plan for Port of Tanjung Priok East Access

Jakarta, Tuesday 09 May 2023 - As an effort to increase the productivity and competitiveness of Jakarta and Indonesia, the development goals of the New Priok Eastern Access are:

1. Triggering the development of the surrounding area which can have an effect on increasing high accessibility and saving on travel costs for movers;

2. Increasing regional accessibility in encouraging interest in regional development, so that it can improve the community's economy and reduce development disparities between regions;

3. Breaking down congestion in the DKI Jakarta area by providing alternatives to road users that accommodate the movement of traffic vehicles to and from the City Center, Harbor Areas, Industrial and Residential Areas;

4. Accommodate the movement of traffic vehicles, mostly from the east and vice versa. Helping the traffic load on existing roads which are getting heavier because they are used by the majority of vehicles entering/exiting from and towards the Port Area and Industrial Area.

This construction is estimated to take 24 (twenty four) months after the handover of the results of land acquisition by the Chief Executive for Land Acquisition.
