Eid Al-Fitr Post Officially Closed, How Many Passengers Does Pelindo Serve?

Jakarta, 9 Mei 2023 – Entering H+15 Eid as well as the closing of the operation of the Integrated Eid Transport Post 2023, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia or Pelindo recorded 1.92 million travelers through 63 passenger terminals managed by the company. This figure is the total for the 30-day homecoming period, higher than the prediction of Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) sea transport users of 1.66 million passengers.

Based on monitoring results during the implementation of the 2023 Eid Transport, the peak of the homecoming flow occurred on D-4 with a total of 95,085 passengers and for the peak of the return flow it occurred on D+8 with a total of 88,428 passengers.

"We officially closed the 2023 Integrated Eid Transport Post. The post opened on April 7, 2023 together with all port agency stakeholders who operate 24 hours to ensure the comfort and safety of travelers," explained Corporate Secretariat Group Head Ali Mulyono.

The ports with the most busiest passengers in the 2023 Lebaran Sea Transport flow include Tanjung Perak Port with 229,481 people, followed by Tanjung Pinang with 228,727 people, then Tanjung Balai Karimun with 126,451 people, then Makassar with 106,676 people and Parepare with 85,733 people.

The Lebaran 2023 Transport activity was carried out smoothly, safely and in an orderly manner, inseparable from collaboration and synergy as well as cooperation from all relevant port agencies when serving both homecoming and return flows.

"Thank you for the collaboration and synergy as well as excellent cooperation by the community, TNI-Polri, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of BUMN and all parties involved in the implementation of this 2023 Eid Transport, so that the comfort and safety of travelers is guaranteed," concluded Ali.
