Preventing Terrorism, Pelindo Establishes Synergy with BNPT

Jakarta, 11 April 2023 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) / Pelindo and the National Agency for Combating Terrorism / BNPT RI signed a Cooperation Agreement on the Synergy of Prevention of Criminal Acts of Terrorism. Taking place at the Ministry of SOEs, this agreement was signed by Bangbang Surono, Ak., M.M., CA., Main Secretary (Sestama) of BNPT RI and Arif Suhartono, Main Director of Pelindo, and witnessed by Komjen. Pol. Prof. Dr. H. Rycko Amelza Dahniel, Ak., M.M., CA., Head of BNPT RI (11/04).

This collaboration is a follow-up to the memorandum of understanding between BNPT and KBUMN in October 2019 concerning the Synergy of Prevention of Terrorism in the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and State-Owned Enterprises.

"Today is a historic day because the leaders have built a common awareness to prevent the ideology of terrorism from growing in this country. Let's jointly prevent the dangers of the ideology of terrorism in all our ranks, where as we know this terrorism is an extraordinary crime because it spreads extraordinary fear, destroys security and ways of thinking and destroys our sense of nationhood," said Rycko.

This agreement aims to increase the prevention of criminal acts of terrorism in the work environment so as to create an environment and human behavior that is free from radical terrorism. This cooperation is also a step for the transfer of information such as input and suggestions for the development of socialization methods and the implementation of synergy in the prevention of criminal acts of terrorism.

"Our country is an archipelagic country where the most efficient trade is to use the sea. With the merger of Pelindo which has working areas from Sabang to Merauke, of course we have very strategic facilities. So, we are very grateful for this collaboration, because we were given the opportunity to educate Pelindo employees and how to conduct an assessment of our assets which have a big role for this country. Hopefully with this agreement, it will make everyone aware that
