Record History! Cruise Jumbo MSC Magnifica Successfully Docks at Benoa Harbor

Denpasar (04/04) – New history has been made in Bali's Benoa Harbor. The port of pride of the Balinese people has successfully served the arrival of the largest cruise ship in history that has ever docked, namely the MSC Magnifica. This Panama-flagged ship successfully docked and carried around 3,000 People who would disembark and tour the island of Bali.

The ship weighing 95,128 GT with a length/LOA of 294 meters successfully docked at the eastern pier of Benoa Harbor Tuesday morning (04/04). The tourists who came down were immediately greeted with traditional Balinese entertainment, such as the accompaniment of Balinese gamelan music and the Cendrawasih and Panyembrahma dances.

General Manager of PT Pelindo Benoa Port Branch, Anak Agung Gede Agung Mataram, said the arrival of MSC Magnifica was historical and a matter of pride for Benoa Harbor. This is because this is the largest cruise ship that has ever docked at Benoa. In addition, this ship also carried around 3,000 passengers consisting of 2,042 passengers and 928 crew members.

"We are very grateful that finally one of the largest cruise ships has successfully docked at Benoa Harbor carrying around 3,000 passengers. This is not only our pride but also traces the revival of the tourism economy in Bali. It is hoped that more similar ships can dock at Benoa," said Agung Mataram.
