Support Logistics Efficiency, Pelindo Logistics Solutions for Optimizing Multimodal Integration Services

Jakarta, January 31, 2023 - Facing the challenges of the global economic situation in 2023, PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik or SPSL, which is one of Pelindo's Sub Holdings, continues to make corporate efforts to support logistics efficiency through optimizing multimodal integration services.

The Port of Kuala Tanjung in Batubara Regency, North Sumatra is now connected to the Trans Sumatra Toll Road and railway lines, so that it has access to economic centers, such as the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Estate and SEZ Sei Mangkei. In line with this, to further improve the efficiency and smoothness of logistics distribution, SPSL has also provided multimodal integration services in the North Sumatra Region via the Sei Mangkei - Belawan, Sei Mangkei - Kuala Tanjung and Kuala Tanjung - Belawan routes. Currently, SPSL is also exploring for the development of multimodal integration in other locations, such as the Port of Tanjung Priok - Tanjung Mas.

"This multimodal integration will expedite the flow of goods to and from the Port by providing several alternative accesses so that it can help reduce road traffic congestion, increase reliability and safety in the distribution of goods, besides that this multimodal integration service can also promote efforts to use more modes of transportation. environmentally friendly through the use of lower carbon emissions," said the Main Director of SPSL Joko Noerhudha (31/1).
