KPK Appreciates Pelindo in Anti-Corruption Actions

Jakarta, 20 December 2022 - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appreciates the commitment and contribution of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo in the Implementation of Actions to Reduce Bureaucracy and Improve Services in the Port Area in 2021-2022. This award was given directly by Suharso Monoarfa, Minister of National Development Planning / Head of the Indonesian National Development Planning Agency to the Main Director of Pelindo, Arif Suhartono during the 2023-2024 Corruption Prevention Action Launching activity on Tuesday (20/12) in Jakarta.

Also present at the event were the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas, Minister for Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Minister for Agriculture Yasin Limpo, Minister for Forestry Siti Nurbaya Bakar and Chairman of the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission Firli Bahuri.

"The Actions of the Stranas PK during 2021-2022 in the port sector have had a cost efficiency impact of 33.8 percent or IDR 182.32 billion and a time effectiveness of up to 21.96 percent. This cost efficiency is due to improved governance in the port sector, one of which is simplification of the goods service process system through a single customs quarantine submission," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri in his remarks.

The Stranas PK action which is fully supported by Pelindo in 2022 at four main ports - Belawan Port, Tanjung Priok Port, Tanjung Perak Port and Makassar Port - has succeeded in implementing the simplification process for ship services, goods, Delivery Order (DO), SP2 Online and transportation and payment by implementing Truck Identification Data, Truck Booking System and Single Billing Payment.

The existence of this governance improvement has succeeded in facilitating services to increase productivity which has an impact not only on the satisfaction of service users, but also cuts bureaucracy and minimizes corruption loopholes.

In his direction, the Coordinating Minister for Marine Affairs and Fisheries Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan especially appreciated the performance of the Coordinating Officer of National Strategy PK Pahala Nainggolan and Expert Staff for Connectivity Management at the Coordinating Ministry for Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Sahat Manaor Panggabean, who have continued to encourage 14 ports in Indonesia to become pilot projects for digital integration. Luhut hopes that next year President Joko Widodo will be present to inaugurate the digitalization program at the port.

"I would like to thank the KPK and the Stranas PK team for the appreciation given to Pelindo. Furthermore, of course Pelindo is ready to commit and fully support the programs or actions launched by the Stranas PK towards efforts to eradicate corruption in the future, "concluded Pelindo's Main Director, Arif Suhartono
