Preparing MTCC, Pelindo Multi Terminal Strengthens Transformation Program

Medan, 19 December 2022 - A year after being formed as a subholding of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), PT Pelindo Multi Terminal / SPMT which focuses on managing non-container terminals in Indonesia has made various efforts to continue to improve port services through the use of system digitalization support information on company operational services.

"The process of transforming operational services based on planning & control has started in several branches at Pelindo Multi Terminal which are controlled centrally through the Multipurpose Terminal Control Center, (MTCC)," said Pelindo Multi Terminal Operations Director, Ridwan Sani Siregar.

The Multipurpose Terminal Control Center (MTCC) is an integrated control center for direct monitoring of port operational activities in all work areas of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal, including ports managed by SPMT's subsidiaries, namely PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok/PTP and PT Indonesia Vehicle Terminal, Tbk. /IPCC.

As of November 2022 the MTCC trial process has been running through an integrated control center located in Belawan, Medan and four Multipurpose Terminal Control (MTC) stations in Belawan, Dumai, Tanjung Intan Cilacap and Jamrud Surabaya, which are directly connected to all ports managed by SPMT.

President Director of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal, Drajat Sulistyo said, MTCC is an important part of the SPMT port service transformation process which has been running throughout 2022 through operational standardization and improving the quality of SPMT Human Resources.

"The presence of this MTCC is one of the main pillars of the operational service transformation process through improving the planning and control function in the working area of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal," said Drajat.

Not only that, MTCC will also increase awareness of the implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) through real-time monitoring of all port activities through CCTV access, so that it will further reduce the risk of work accidents in the field.

For Drajat Sulistyo, this MTCC is a form of SPMT's commitment to be able to fulfill the wishes and expectations of service users. The presence of this MTCC will guarantee the certainty of Service Time (fixed time), Fixed Cost, and Security Certainty (Safety) for port services received.

"These three things will greatly encourage a reduction in the Port Stay and also an increase in the loading and unloading productivity of the Terminal so that in the future PT Pelindo Multi Terminal is able to realize its vision of becoming Indonesia's Connectivity Champion," concluded Drajat.
