Pelindo Regional 4 Optimistic Export Import Activity This Year Grows 10%

MAKASSAR, November 03, 2022 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 is optimistic that the performance of export activities or shipping goods abroad this year will grow by 10% in line with the business focus now being handled by Pelindo's subsidiaries or subholdings in several managed ports.

Regional Head 4 Pelindo, Enriany Muis said that the increase in export activity performance that his party will achieve this year cannot be separated from the Company's efforts to focus on services for each type of business owned through subsidiaries or subholdings formed since the Pelindo merger.

"Since the merger on October 1, 2021, Pelindo then formed 4 subsidiaries or sub-holdings, namely PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim which focuses on marine services, equipment, energy, and other port maritime services, PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas which is a terminal operator that provides services. containers, PT Pelindo Multi Terminal to handle all company businesses related to multipurpose terminal operations, and PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik which focuses on building capability and partnership, expanding connectivity, and beyond end-to-end integration," explained Enriany.

Through the 4 subsidiaries that were formed, Regional Head 4 continued, they are optimistic that they can achieve performance targets, especially export activities at managed ports, which are even better this year.

To note, several ports managed by Pelindo Regional 4 have been handed over to subholding operations that are in accordance with the business cluster being carried out. He gave an example of the Makassar Port Multipurpose Terminal which has been handed over to PT Pelindo Multi Terminal operations. Likewise, Makassar Container Terminal, Makassar New Port and Container Terminal at Ambon Port which have also been handed over to PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, as well as several other managed ports which have also been handed over to PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim for marine services.
