Jakarta, 11 August 2022 – In an effort to increase national resilience in the logistics sector, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (Lemhanas). Attending and signing directly the Governor of Lemhanas Andi Widjajanto and the President Director of Pelindo Arif Suhartono.
For Pelindo, the signing of this MoU is one part of the implementation of knowledge management to support the creation of innovation within the Company, by providing opportunities for both parties to conduct analysis, policy studies, sharing sessions, and provide input, especially in the logistics and port sectors for educational purposes. , scientific development, and its application.
"Now it is impossible for us to only think about the supply chain and distribution of domestic logistics, because in the end the supply chain cannot be separated from the strengthening of global connectivity. It is hoped that the strategic study that we are currently working on on geo-connectivity will receive more comprehensive study and data support from Pelindo. In the future, we can jointly design concrete steps that will help the efficiency of Indonesia's competitiveness and competition, both at the regional and global levels, related to connectivity," said Andi Widjajanto.
The cooperation program which is valid for five years is carried out, among others, through education and training, exchange of experts and strengthening of national values, implementation of studies and other collaborations as needed.
"With this MoU, we hope that Pelindo can be even better in the future, especially to support national security, especially in the economic field. This signing is intended to improve the quality of human resources through education that both parties can do.
